Saturday 1st october – 10.30am meet at Shipley Church – Bob Phillips will talk about ley lines and lead some dowsing in and around the church.

Thursday 20th October – 7.30pm Dr Annabelle Hughes – illustrated talk on timber-framed houses in the area.  Andrew Hall, Shipley.

Thursday 10th Nobvember – 7.30pm David Parker – talk on WWII with memorabilia – please bring any artefacts.   Andrew Hall, Shipley.

Thursday 1st December – AGM and Christmas party at the Andrew Hall, Shipley.  Please bring any research you have been doing, maps, documents or other material you would like to display to the group.

LEYLINES AT SHIPLEY CHURCH

Thursday 23 June 2011 – meet at St Mary the Virgin, Shipley (inside the church if wet) – 7.00pm.

Bob Phillips will talk about the leylines in the churchyard and around the village, demonstrating the use of dowsing sticks.

WALK AROUND CROOKHORN – SATURDAY 14 MAY 2011

Peter Anderson will take us on a guided walk to this beautiful and interesting spot in the north of our parish through some of Scawen Blunt’s checker-work of woods and past an old house or two . 
Meet at Southwater Country Park – the car park on the south side, off Worthing Road, Southwater: not the car park close to the lake.

Time:  10.00 am (until approx 12.30)
Please be prepared for mud – it may be very wet in places, so wellies/boots are a necessity.
